Two Mints in One

Last Sunday’s outing to Helfire Basin was extremely successful. We managed to complete two instances, the Hellfire Ramparts and the Blood Furnace.

Devin was unable to use his microphone, and so we missed out on his witty repartee. Joining us for the first time was Pythag, who took Mathisgoode’s place while he is out touring with Shuck Berry.

Pythag is seen above filling out some guild paperwork, in particular his group loot agreement and W-2 form. Noremacved can be seen trying to argue his way out of having to pay off his guild debt, while Kneeko and Forunlawf think about boobs and beer.

Brian had some Hallow’s End treats and so we were able to have some pumpkin-head fun, which resulted in this great group shot.

It was interesting having two hunters. There was a whole lot of killing going around. The mobs of the Hellfire Ramparts were hardly a match for the stomp of the mighty Left Foot. It was a total cake walk, with no major injuries, except for Pythag who died while quietly enduring a large dose of DoT.

The loot was typical for our outings, which means lots of stuff we can’t use. However, there was this great looking sword or polearm that I think was dropped by Nazan the dragon, but I can’t remember for sure. I made sure to take a shot of it before Brian dusted it.

We finished off the Ramparts and moved into the Blood Furnace. We were all combat-hyper and had given up on all planning and were just destroying all mobs at will. My recent respec as a healadin made the evening go pretty smoothly. I’m not sure how much the whole thing ended up costing me, but it’s somewhere between 600-800 gold. Brian helped out with some much needed enchants that put my mana pool over 7000, so I really never had any mana issues all night. The only wipe of the evening came when we decided it would be a good idea to all squeeze into a small chamber filled with technicians throwing mines and dynamite. I got caught up in the rockem-sockem action and was stunned and silenced as everyone was being killed. I will try and remember to stay back. Once we ran back to the instance, we played a bit smarter and took out everything the Blood Furnace had to offer. We even got to see Devin deactivate some land mines, which was pretty cool. We were all very impressed.

The most memorable event of the evening was Noremacved turning 70. He rushed out and immediately bought an ebony mount. We are now a flying guild, Azeroth. Look to the sky and beware the Foot!

I think it was at that point in the screenshot that Devin said, “Okay, so how do you get down?”

Thanks! I have a ton of shots now and I only end up using a few. I may add a flikr widget to the sidebar so we can have a gallery we can upload to.

About The Left Foot of Darkness

Started as a way to keep other players from asking us to join their guild, the Left Foot of Darkness slowly developed into a tightly knit group of ex-United States Army Special Forces who work as soldiers of fortune while being on the run from the military for a crime they didn't commit. Oh wait... that's the A-Team. Um, okay, the Left Foot of Darkness is a group of guys that have known each other for so many years that they are unable to get up off of their middle-aged butts and actually hang out, so they get together online and play World of Warcraft, uh.. and solve crimes from the Mystery Machine.
