Darkness Falls on Blackrock Spire

Since we were down a man this weekend, we decided to try something a bit below our level. Upper Blackrock Spire is a 10-man raid instance recommended for levels 56-61. Devin was out with a broken power supply, and unfortunately may be out for some time. Bob brought Pythag, so we had two hunters, a warrior, and a paladin.

Brian acted as our tour guide, which was especially amusing when we hit the Rookery, the site of the wipe made famous by Leeroy Jenkins. Brian has done this stuff so many times, and yet he still makes it fun. We went through with no problem.

We worked our way through the rooms with ease. Leaving most of the drops for Brian to disenchant. One of the more exciting moments was when we faced the beast, a Core Hound that has been captured by the dark forces of the Spire. He’s basically a giant dog that poops fire.

After killing the beast, we took out the final bosses and called it a night. After our misadventures in the Mechanar, it was really nice to have this sense of success at the end of an evening. Yes, it was below our level, but there were only four of us! Brian said we got a lot of good enchanting mats out of it, so it was a fairly profitable evening as well.

About The Left Foot of Darkness

Started as a way to keep other players from asking us to join their guild, the Left Foot of Darkness slowly developed into a tightly knit group of ex-United States Army Special Forces who work as soldiers of fortune while being on the run from the military for a crime they didn't commit. Oh wait... that's the A-Team. Um, okay, the Left Foot of Darkness is a group of guys that have known each other for so many years that they are unable to get up off of their middle-aged butts and actually hang out, so they get together online and play World of Warcraft, uh.. and solve crimes from the Mystery Machine.
