The Mechanar Is Broken

We made our second journey into The Mechanar last night. Initially, it went much more smoothly than last time. We took out all the mobs in the entry way, and had a much easier time with the mini-bosses. We devised a series of attack plans to deal with new situations. For example, sapping a spellcaster and pulling another into a frost trap while Scotty tanks the remaining mob is attack plan Catherine Zeta-Jones. We also have attack plan Jane Seymour and the Loni Anderson maneuver. We took out Mechano-Lord Capacitus without a single death. We even got some good loot this time.

Brian picked up a new weapon, the Plasma Rat’s Hyper-Scythe. It wasn’t stupendous, but it was certainly better than any drop we’ve had so far. Devin also picked up a better belt, but that’s not saying too much because his old one was essentially a piece of rope and an I love Elvis belt buckle. Read more… »

The Foot Slips Up

There are times where you feel invincible, like you can do wrong, or there is no foe you cannot tackle. Our initial journey into Tempest Keep: The Mechanar was not one of those occasions.

The Mechanar was the first level 70 instance that we’ve tried to tackle. (Actually, I think the Steamvault is considered a 70 instance, but The Mechanar was the first level 70 instance where we made it past the doorway.)

We wiped almost immediately upon entering, overwhelmed by arcane golems and blood elf spellcasters. I think this initial wipe was my fault because I was still fiddling around with some healing macros and was trying to rearrange one of my action bars so that it was set for “Healadin” mode. I couldn’t multi-task during battle. My bad.

One of the issues I had trouble with all night was keeping Kneeko’s bird, Tenz, alive. Now I like Tenz, and I think he’s a great a great addition to the party, but when he starts taking damage, he goes down fast. I just could not keep that bird alive. Maybe I would have better luck with his brother and sister, Onez and Fivez. Read more… »

Two Mints in One

Last Sunday’s outing to Helfire Basin was extremely successful. We managed to complete two instances, the Hellfire Ramparts and the Blood Furnace.

Devin was unable to use his microphone, and so we missed out on his witty repartee. Joining us for the first time was Pythag, who took Mathisgoode’s place while he is out touring with Shuck Berry.

Pythag is seen above filling out some guild paperwork, in particular his group loot agreement and W-2 form. Noremacved can be seen trying to argue his way out of having to pay off his guild debt, while Kneeko and Forunlawf think about boobs and beer.

About The Left Foot of Darkness

Started as a way to keep other players from asking us to join their guild, the Left Foot of Darkness slowly developed into a tightly knit group of ex-United States Army Special Forces who work as soldiers of fortune while being on the run from the military for a crime they didn't commit. Oh wait... that's the A-Team. Um, okay, the Left Foot of Darkness is a group of guys that have known each other for so many years that they are unable to get up off of their middle-aged butts and actually hang out, so they get together online and play World of Warcraft, uh.. and solve crimes from the Mystery Machine.
