Archives for February, 2008

Last Sunday evening, we took another stab at getting Kneeko that nifty enchantment from the skeletons in Auchenai Crypts. It did not, of course, drop. However, we had very little trouble with the instance and we killed both of the bosses just for kicks. I was one stinking point away from being honored with the lower city, so someone suggested that we run across the way to Sethekk Halls.

We entered cautiously, but soon realized that we were kicking serious ass. We went ahead and took a shot at the first boss, Darkweaver Syth. Here is a highlight from our initial encounter.

Yes, I was already dead when I took this screenshot. We were overwhelmed by the twelve elementals he summoned as Forunlawf tanked him. Even then, I think we were pretty close to killing him.

After doing a little research, we returned with a new strategy, and quickly tenderized Darkweaver into a Sythy cubesteak. We simply took out the elementals as he summoned them. No sweat.

It is worth noting that Bob’s frost mage, Hocho, kicks ass sideways. Our group of five, Hocho, Kneeko, Forunlawf, Noremacved, and myself, seemed to really work well together. We had good crowd control, good dps, a good tank, and pretty good healing.

I imagine we will return soon and clear out the rest of Sethekk Halls.

We are amusingly stupid.

I don’t remember the circumstances of this shot, but it just shows why I love this guild.

I will have something up soon on our journey into Sethekk Halls.

Make comments. Do that click stuff.

Speaking with the Ogres

Last night the Foot came together and decided to complete the chain of quests to unlock the Ogri’la dailies. It was one of those things we had meant to do a long time ago, but had never gotten around to it. We are now Ogre kings, which is great because we are now neutral with all those Ogres in Blade’s Edge and we got a box set of Shrek DVDs.

I think this shot is slightly blurry due to the festive drink I had right before I took it. Flying was difficult. I’m lucky I wasn’t pulled over.

About The Left Foot of Darkness

Started as a way to keep other players from asking us to join their guild, the Left Foot of Darkness slowly developed into a tightly knit group of ex-United States Army Special Forces who work as soldiers of fortune while being on the run from the military for a crime they didn't commit. Oh wait... that's the A-Team. Um, okay, the Left Foot of Darkness is a group of guys that have known each other for so many years that they are unable to get up off of their middle-aged butts and actually hang out, so they get together online and play World of Warcraft, uh.. and solve crimes from the Mystery Machine.
