This just in! Two grim banditos were seen bullying Gnomes and Goblins in Gadgetzan early this week. Look at the determination on their grim bandito faces. It’s as if they had recently died repeatedly while trying to complete a silly hat quest.
We may never know.

Sixty percent of the mighty Left Foot of Darkness came together last night to complete the “Nice hat…” quest available from Don Pepe, or whatever his name is, who hangs out in the graveyard just north of Gadgetzan. [It's Don Carlos. I just looked it up. I like Don Pepe better.]
The quest itself takes place in Old Hilsbrad, reachable only through the Caverns of Time. Basically, Don Carlos challenges you to defeat his younger self in Hilsbrad in the distant past. His younger self wanders around Old Hilsbrad with pet wolf waiting for people to come and kick his ass.
Bob, Scotty, and myself took out young Carlos with little trouble; however, I did catch a bad case of death because one of my area effects attracted the wrath of a squad of wandering soldiers, who proceeded to wax my shiny ass. Luckily, they gave up after killing me and didn’t go for Scotty or Bob. I was still able to complete the quest once I made the ten hour journey from the graveyard in the Caverns of Time.
Once we had the Haliscan brimmed hats and the other Haliscan gear Scotty made for us, our outfits were complete. We spent the next twenty minutes playing around in Gadgetzan, taking pictures, dueling with fish and odd objects, and drinking Nogginfogger Elixir until we were accidentally eaten by some Horde guy’s mount while we were mini-mariachis.

It was a great little adventure and just proves that we can come together as a guild and have fun even though we have busy schedules. I think we played for about an hour and a half at most, and it was packed with fun. I haven’t laughed that hard in quite some time.
Let’s do it again soon.
Also, let’s give a big thanks to Bob, who coughed up some money for our Teamspeak server. The rest of 2008 is on Bob. Thanks Bob!
